The Scientific and Methodological Research Laboratory in Economics

The Scientific and Methodological Research Laboratory in Economics was founded on 27 January 2010 at Alecu Russo Balti State University, within the Faculty of Economics, based on a decision of the University Senate. The laboratory was established on the basis of two projects that were launched in 2009-2010.

The main objective of the laboratory is to carry out and promote scientific research using the newest methods. Among its key goals are the promotion of research activities and the study of the latest methods and ideas aimed at improving the country’s economic situation.

In addition, the laboratory provides management, marketing, and accounting services and consultancy addressed to students, master’s students, doctoral candidates, as well as entrepreneurs who require professional support in these fields.

Since its establishment, the laboratory has implemented four national projects, two of which are currently ongoing. Within the laboratory, the international CEEPUS project is also active, supporting the mobility of academic staff and students.

The scientific potential of the laboratory consists of PhD holders, who are engaged as senior researchers, as well as didactic staff who carry out activities as researchers.

The Scientific and Methodological Research Laboratory in Economics operates on the basis of its own statute and the statute of Alecu Russo Balti State University. The laboratory’s activity is regulated by the normative acts of the Republic of Moldova and by the decisions of Alecu Russo Balti State University.

The Scientific and Methodological Research Laboratory in Economics is a structural unit of the Faculty of Economics, does not have legal personality and does not hold its own bank account.
