On the Problem of Translating the German Twin Formulas into Romanian

Abstract:

In this article are investigated binomial lexical units in German from structural, functional, idiomatic and stylistic aspects. The authors insist on a pertinent multi-aspectual classification of these phraseological units based on the research results of well-known German lexicologists. Particular attention is paid to the degrees of equivalence of German binomials (Zwillingsformel) in Romanian, with an elucidation of the possibilities of rendering those units, which have no direct equivalent in Romanian.
