Abstract:

The present text aims to study the newest anthroponymic trends, and in particular, the new variants of traditional foreign given names, part of the onomasticon, in four of the most important and big settlements in Northern Bulgaria – Pleven, Veliko Tarnovo, Ruse, and Varna. Official statistical data of the National Statistical Institute (NSI) in the Republic of Bulgaria for a 10-year period (2008-2018) is used.
